The Next Stage Masterclasses with RADA

Overview:

In these workshops in acting and theatre production run by The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and Platform Youth Hub, you will get a taster of The Next Stage, a course that takes place in October half term for young people who are thinking about applying for drama school. You can take part in one, or both of the workshops. Please make sure you sign up for the correct time that corresponds with the workshop(s) you want to take part in.

RADA Acting Masterclass 10am - 1pm

A masterclass working with RADA acting graduates who will give you an insight into what life at drama school is like. You will participate in different drama activities, devising exercises and have the opportunity to work on an individual monologue. The workshop will end with a monologue sharing.

RADA Theatre Production Masterclass 2pm - 5pm

A masterclass providing an introduction to the role of a designer in theatre production. Practically explore elements of design in response to a production brief with a fully functioning lighting board in a theatre space, then present your work back to a group. The workshop will be led by industry professionals and RADA graduates who will be able to tell you all about life at a drama school and beyond.
