SIA Course Training

BEFORE APPLYING FOR THIS COURSE, PLEASE NOTE YOU REQUIRE THE FOLLOWING:

  • You must be aged 18-24
  • At least have gained a qualification in Literacy Level 1 (Grades E-D or 1-3 at GCSE) you will be given a literacy test before the course.
  • Have no criminal record for the past 5 years at least. You can check your record for free by clicking here
  • 2 valid forms of ID which you MUST bring with you, including a current UK passport, full or provisional driving licence and a bank statement, utility bill or birth certificate

IF YOU DO NOT MEET THIS CRITERIA, PLEASE DO NOT APPLY FOR THIS COURSE AS YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO COMPLETE IT.

Overview

Get qualified with this SIA Security course, covering all you need to become an employable Security Officer. Ideal for anyone who wishes to work in the private security industry in the United Kingdom. With the Security Guarding licence individuals can work in all static premises, a few examples are: festivals and sports events, shopping centres, retail, construction sites, residential sites, schools, hospitals and banks. Over this week you will become qualified in:

  • First Aid 
  • Level 2 Award for Security Officers in the Private Security Industry

Delivered by Oyster Workforce Security Ltd, the course will cover topics such as working in the private security industry, working as a security officer and Conflict Management. Please note this is different to a door supervisor course, which allows you to work as security in premises that sell alcohol.

There will be some additional work and reading to do outside of the course, so please think carefully about this before you apply.
