Overview  
This course offers the opportunity to gain competence in stand up paddleboarding. After learning skills of kneeling on a board and paddling with the hands and or paddles you will move to standing up. This sport is super-accessible. Paddleboards can be used by all ages and abilities and are great fun.

The course includes learning about water safety, water-based environmental issues, mindfulness and relaxation, balance and much more. Once condfidence is built up we will go on a longer tour down the canal.

Attendance at morning sessions from 9-11.30am is essential to complete the course. Staying on for the open afternoon sessions from 12-4pm is optional but recommended to increase confidence.

A good level of water confidence is essential. Lifejackets will be worn at all times. All boating equipment will be provided.

What to wear or bring
Wear something comfortable and old that you don't mind getting wet
Bring a full change of clothes and footwear
Bring a packed lunch, suncream and a hat
