Overview

This valuable one day accredited course is a boost to any CV but more importantly it may help you to save a life. It is a purely practical course, there will be no written work. The syllabus includes how to diagnose and deal with minor injuries, shock, burns, epilepsy, bleeding and unconsciousness. You will learn about

  • First aid priorities
  • Managing incidents
  • Basic life support
  • Examination of a casualty
  • Unconsciousness
  • How to control of bleeding
  • Burns and scalds
  • Regulations
  • First aid kits
  • Recording and reporting incidents

Certification

Certification is dependent on successful continuous assessment of the student. Those students who complete the course and are deemed to have reached the required standard are issued with a certificate that is valid for three years.
