Emergency First Aid at Work
This valuable accredited two day course is a boost to any CV but more importantly it may help you to save a life. It is a purely practical course, there will be no written work. The syllabus includes how to diagnose and deal with minor injuries, shock, burns, epilepsy, bleeding and unconsciousness. You will learn about
- First aid priorities
- Managing incidents
- Basic life support
- Examination of a casualty
- How to control bleeding
- Burns and scalds
- First aid kits
- Recording and reporting incidents
Certification is dependent on successful continuous assessment of the student. Those students who complete the course and are deemed to have reached the required standard are issued with a certificate that is valid for three years.

Monday 9 and Tuesday 10 August 12noon - 4pm
Monday 16 and Tuesday 17 August 12noon - 4pm
Monday 26 and Tuesday 27 August 12noon - 4pm

Participants of this course will be offered a free meal or packed lunch.
